Here is an email from geologists in my company. Please be preparing for a
mega earthquake in WA.

Hello everyone. I’m sorry about the mass email, and the late notice - but
I just got word that because of the Japan quake, the date has been moved up.
Sunday March 13th on the National Geographic Channel at 8pm is showing a
show that was filmed here in Portland and also in several other places in
Oregon and Washington about the expected Cascadia Subduction Zone quake.
Yumei Wang with DOGAMI is a headliner and talking about our hazards in the
Pacific Northwest.
I think it will be an excellent show, with at least half of it concentrating
on us here in the PacNW. So DVR it and watch! Please share with
family and friends in light of the recent Japan quake, it’s a perfect time
to increase public awareness and to get everyone to think about those
emergency kits!! For those of you who don’t keep up on the numbers, the
latest numbers indicate that there is a 70 percent chance of an 8 to 9
magnitude quake here in the next 50 years.
Also – it a chance to possibly laugh at my cameo…if they didn’t cut me
out!

let people prepare for the earthquake. I believe people have larger chance
to survive in the EQ if they are aware of this. The prediction is basically
based on statistical data and EQ occurance in the global situation. |

earth quakes on the west coast in the next 50 years or so.
