My suggestions, based on my 5+ years experience in this field:
The solutions are greatly affected by the size parameter (=2pi*r/lamda) of
your spheres.
If you know the positions of each sphere, and if the size parameters of the
spheres are much larger than ~50, use ray tracing to get the total scattered
field. See Andre Macke's papers. Search "Michael Mishchenko" on google, then
on his web page you'll find links to codes and papers.
