做工作的是搞物理和数学的, 他们的idea在当时
非常有创意, 但是也很简单, 拿来得物理奖档次
明显不够, 数学方面也只用了简单的Fourier变化.
但是这工作实在是太重要了, MRI不但从八十年代以来
完全改写了医疗诊断手段, 把所有学校的放射学系
全都大换血, 而且带动了从EE到心理学很多方面的研究.
得奖的这两位都是公认的鼻祖, Lauterbur在MRI年会
上年年特邀报告.
这可算是给交叉学科获奖开了个先例吧, 这是必须获奖,
但是得哪个奖都不合适的工作. | p****d 发帖数: 21 | 2 IMHO, fMRI is already at or close to its spatial and temporal limits.
Higher spatial resolution may be possible, but at best same as optical
imaging. Higher temporal resolution is difficult since it's limited by
hemodynamics and by gray matter's T1/T2 (time to return spins to
original state). You cannot chill the brain, anyway. Smartly designed
contrast agents may improve both resolution aspects, but they may be
poisonous, or at least invasive and therefore not popular.
