as long as the communications are not the bottleneck, it's still fine.
generally, for parallel computing 100M is a little bit low. 1G is ok.
The beowulf in my school is planning to use 10G between nodes.
My department have tens of sun workstations...I installed MPICH
in my home directory, then turn all of those workstations as a
cluster. However, since those workstations are owned by department
for classes, I can only use them from 5:30pm to 8:30am. Another
