the reason lies in the fact about "what is a physical reality"
In quantum theory, what we learned is that the only "physical reality" is the
relation between the "observer" and the "observed". An elementary particle is
not an fixed thing, it is only a certain relation with the rest of the world.
Unfortunately, quantum theory is not completely relational, it assumes a fixed
"eternal" space-time.
On the contrary, general relativity give us the relational world of space-
