Title "The Asian-American Community is under racism attack!!!"
Dear Craig,
I am writing to get you informed on that the Asian American community
is under serious racism attack because the proposed California Senate
Constitutional Amendment No. 5 (SCA-5), which is passed by the senate
and waiting for clearance in the Assembly now, would remove all
constitutional anti-discrimination protection on public education in
the state.

In Tim Donnelly's email send to Senator Ed Hernandez, the author of
the SCA 5, Tim write: "There have always been people in society who
have discriminated against their neighbors. Indeed, there have even
been chapters in the history of our state and nation during which the
government itself participated in discrimination against some of our
fellow citizens. During World War II, the intendment of
Japanese-American citizens marked a low point in the history of our
civil rights when the federal government used police power to detain
people because they were deemed to pose a threat merely by being of a
particular race."

It is now up to your own judgment on what reaction you should have
here. If the Japanese-American community believes it is NOT of your
interest and if the Japanese-American community do not believe on that
once this bill passed, there will be further racism attack in other
aspect of the society, it will be your own call.

Thank you very much for your note; JACL is very aware of the issue and is
working with our partners in the Asian-American community to work towards a
solution. In addition, many of our chapters in California are also working
on a local level to help address the issue.
Many thanks for reaching out; we certainly share your passion in advocating
against discrimination in all forms, and ensuring the civil rights of our
citizens are protected.

Anyway，在一个“主流媒体”甚至华人内部的一些华奸“政治家们”都在challenge 华裔
commnuity是因为“自私” 和“lack of big picture”而反对SCA-5的时候，任何一个
major亚裔群体发声对我们的支持都将是invaluable的，能帮助我们占据道德高地, 让
我们更理直气壮的发出anti SCA-5 就是反对任何Racial Discrimination 的最强音！
