ＢＦ去年读书时在atlanta去过医院，阑尾炎手术，当初手术前后，有些检查或者病房
啥 的，我问几个医生护士 多少钱之类的，人家都 说不知道 ，我问该 问谁 他们也不
告 诉我。然后手术反正要做的。是急诊。
最后帐单有好几个吧，医院的，医生的，还有啥麻醉部门的。我们把小额单子交了，大
额 的一张4000＋多我们在分期 付款。不清楚医院这些收费是不是全分开的？现在又冒
出来个讨债公司天天早上催我们交钱，说有2笔啥 帐单，催我们交钱，又是约2000来刀
吧，我们要帐单 明细，人家还不给我们。打电话给医院,说帐号已销，只能跟讨债公司
交钱了。
我发帖想请教大家的是，我们因为搬来加州，原来住址无效，但是医院有我们的email
啊电话啊，他们没义务通知我们吗？而且他们帐单这么晚出，也没有责任吗？
现在医院也不管这事，但是我们也不想交钱到讨债公司，想看完帐单，交给医院，存留
收据。
要怎 么样才能交钱给医院啊。。。
不知道要怎 么操作呢？
大家给点建议啊。。。

you want to dispute the original charge.
If you owe the money, you'd better pay it. If you have financial difficulty,
see if you can get some discount.

Effects of Paying
Paying an old collection can lower your credit score in the short term. How
does that happen? The older they get, the lesser the effect collection
accounts have on your credit score. When you pay on an old collection
account, it renews the date of last activity. So, your credit score could
drop when you first pay an old collection. Fortunately, you’ll see your
credit score come back up as time passes.
If the account is scheduled to fall off your credit report in the next few
months, you might put off paying it until that happens. That way, you can
avoid the initial drop in your credit score

原来实习的时候租房子的电费最后一个月没有寄到我手里
过了一年讨债公司电话打过来了让付钱，也就二三十块的事情
当时还问过会不会影响信用，人家说因为搬家没有收到
所以不影响，也就爽快的付给讨债公司了
从来没有查过信用分数，不知道有没有影响

了。
其实医院还是应该有你account的

You need to write a formal letter to them ( google for sample letter) and
they have to send you the detailed receipts. Moreover, if you plan to pay
them, ask them not to report and a big discount. Otherwise, you will not pay
. Usually you get good discount with collection agency because they bought
the debt from the original dirty cheap. |
