把印度的问题归结于中国新帝国主义

India has too many problems to catalogue in one sitting. But one of its
biggest problems is China itself. Since the fifties, China has followed a
policy of intimidating, containing and destablising India. Hence the attack
and land grab in 1962, the persistent and active aiding and abetting of
Pakistan (through money, arms and support in the UN for which Pakistan ceded
to it parts of Kashmir), fomenting of armed, Maoist uprisings in eastern
India, threats and an encirclement through ever increasing leverage in South
Asia (Nepal, Bangladesh, Burma and Sri Lanka) achieved through financial
aid and (in the case of Nepal) by helping to overthrow India friendly
governments. Of course, it hasn't helped that India itself is so corrupt and
at times has sought to bully its smaller neighbours in lieu of taking on
China directly. Still, the unscrupulous, grasping, interfering and, yes, it
its way neo -imperialist China that the U.S. fears in the 21st century has
been a reality for India for the last 60 years. |
