Unfortunately the store does not offer free delievery to all the areas.
Definitely no free delievery to San Diego or even other state.(Sorry the
store is in Oakland, CA) Most likely, they do not have free delievery to
Davis, Antioch, Elk Grove. I will double check on this. I also need to check
with Jim about San Raman and Pleasonton area.
I will update this after I confirm with Jim.
Other areas (mostly Alameda county, Santa Clara county, San Francisco,
Peninsula area) that I didn't mention should have free delievery.
Please let me know if you are still interested, if there is extra charge (I

I just missed one group buy U1 about one or two months before. This is how I
know this store. At that time, the price was $5300. Jim (the owner of store
) told me there is another group that the contract price is $5600, because
the previous price no longer available. He said that he can show me the
contracts.
Jim said that he will check with YAMAHA to see if they will have some
special recently. He said that he will try to offer the price between $5300
and $5600.
I didn't contact other stores yet. So pls try to shop around yourself also
and let us know if there will be even lower price available. This way,
everyone can be benefited.

If there are between 15 to 30 staires, there is extra $80 delievery fee.
There is $25 delievery charges for people that live in Pleasonton, San Ramon
and Dubin.
For people that live in: Palo Alto, Los Gatos, Sunnyvale, Mountain View,
Milpitas, Fremont, San Jose. There is no delivery charge.
For people in Antioch, the delivery charge is around $80.
For people in Davis, the delivery charge will be even more.
For two people in UT, Jim said that in UT, there is no tax. Jim said he can
have people delivery the pianos to the piano warehouse in Salt Lake City, UT
with the same price as we can get in CA. But if he has to arrange mover to
delievery from warehouse UT to the customers' home, the charges will be
extra and not very cheap. He needs to figure out.

Can you check with Jim to see if he can waive the delivery charge to
Pleasanton, San Ramon and Dublin area. We have several people from this area
, he will be able to leverage the cost with multiple orders.
And I think the distance to tri-valley is actually closer than Sunnyvale or
Los Gatos from Oakland. From last group purchase which was held in March,
they did the group purchase at the same store, they don't charge delivery
fee for people live in this area.
Also not sure if he can just give the price of 5600, not within mail-in
rebate.

I missed one group sale just about two months ago from the same dealor. At
that time, it was only $5300. Feels like prices go up so much. :-(
Last group buy, everyone will meet Jim at Oakland store at one time and pay
the money first. You can also ask questions there. He will help us fill out
the paperwork for the mail-in rebate at that time. The piano will be
delievered at another day. Everyone must choose the same day for delievery.

Yes..last time(around end of March), all the people that are interested
agreed to show up around the same time on Saturday and pay upfront. The
pianos were delivered one week later. Last time the group purchase price was

next time when you buy a more expensive piano, he will count the money you
spend for this piano (but the money for the tax can’t be counted in)
- Jim told me that the piano was made in Japan and is 2012 brand new. I
heard that we can check the serial number on the piano on Yamaha website to
make sure about this. But I never do this before not sure exactly how.
- We meet Jim on the Saturday (6/9). We pay money and he write contract
for us. And he will help us fill out the mail in rebate at that time also.
The piano will be delivered on a Saturday two weeks after 6/9. All pianos
will be delivered at the same day. So we need to make sure someone at home
that day.
- We have the following people confirmed interest after I post the final
price. Please let me know if your name is not on the list. Also let me know
if you want to cancel. Jim now asks me to get at least 20 people. Also there
is no delivery fee for everyone. (I need to check about Danville with Jim.

delivered 6/23. They can only deliver all the pianos on the same day. So
everyone must be available at home on 6/23.
The store opens from 10AM to 5PM. You can go there anytime. Jim has another
arrangement that day, so he will not be available but the sale manager and
another sale person is there. They know the detail of our deal.
Also I have told Jim that at least 24 people will buy the piano. Since we
have a few new people want to join in recently, the number should be larger
than 24. Jim said that it is very important for everyone to show up on that
day. He needs at least 24 people to pay, in order to give us this price and
free delivery to everyone (not Davis. There is $150 deliver charge to Davis.
) If you can't go on 6/9, pls call Jim directly about how you will pay.
Jim said the following will be on the contract:
- made in Japan
- brand new
- deliver on 6/23
- upgrade option is available any time
- 10year warrenty
- one free tuning (will happen at around 1m after deliver)
- one bench
So, when you go there, pls make sure to check all of these terms.
Jim also mentions that his deliver men said that they may take some of
pianos out of boxes at the piano store, but the piano will still be
delivered with all other wrapping. Maybe we should ask this be on the
contract (deliver in original wrapping).
Jim said that in case there is any scratch or damage during the delivery,
they will make the proper fixing or give a new piano.
Any one has any other suggestion about what we should ask ? It is better to
think of this before hand.

our group. And he is trying to get hold of the store owner to give us a
price. I will get some more information tomorrow.

stick together as a SINGLE group. I guess most people would agree with me
that whoever provides the best terms will win our votes. Yet, at the same
time, we want to make sure there is nothing fishy in the terms.
It sounds to me Yamaha Peninsula is more foxy in that it won't disclose the
price right now AND it wants our list. We may want something more
confirmatory from it than just saying "You come here and we will give you a
lower price."

for correctness before deliver it. If we want, she can ask the mover to
take pictures before removing the boxes. They can deliver you the boxes if
you want, but movers will not take the boxes back once delivered. |

maybe this store is like this.
Also updated information from Jim. Jim called me tonight. He said that

tuning is already a very good deal. According to the guy with Piano Plus,
the $5300 deal that happened two months ago is a price that they can't make
some money with. The other dealor just want to take that business,so to
offer such low price. Piano store also needs to make money. If we beat the
price all the way down, it doesn't sound very fair to them.
