The cost of health insurance for many Americans this year climbed more
sharply than in previous years, outstripping any growth in workers’ wages
and adding more uncertainty about the pace of rising medical costs.
the average annual premium for family coverage through an employer reached $
15,073 in 2011, an increase of 9 percent over the previous year.

Why you link the premium rise to O8?
The only way to reduce the premium is to nationalize the medical insurance,
close all the private insurance companies, the premium is controlled by
government as per inflation rate.

Only government can do the things for non-profit.
For insurance company, they only care about profit.
For example, their policy can only cover people with at least one million US
$ for greater profit.
But as a civilized country, this should not be allowed.
Also, only the government and federal agency can balance the medical service
price, quality, providers, etc.
For example, I don't think we need Doctor degree for a dentist. A four year
traning after high shool is enough for a dentist. This will reduce the
investment for dentist, hence reduce the price for visiting dental office.

but not the big one. The medical schools are limiting the enrollments though
there's a big demand. That's the problem. There'll never be enough medical
staff and they can continue charging ridiculous high bill for the service.
Of course, Obama is not gonna fight that.
