发帖数: 3417 | 20 技术含量高的目的不是待遇好么？待遇没优势技术含量高有什么意义？DELL做的很多network, data center之类的solution，不觉得比broadcom技术含量低。
很多老中都对芯片这个东西有种莫名的崇拜，也不知道是什么原因，大概就因为中国做的少，就觉得牛B。但是如果芯片真有那么牛B, 他们应该卖的很贵才是。事实上不是那样的。
曾经很多大公司都是可以产芯片的, 而且是EDA到foundry全套流程，不像现在公司都只做一块。现在象Broadcom这样的fabless公司，离开了EDA, 离开了foundry, 它至少也要几年抓瞎，什么core不core的technology. 这个东西不是rocket science, 没有那么神秘，那些大公司后来芯片部门的去留都是成本收益的取舍，跟技术含量没太大关系。这期间出现了一些做大了的芯片公司，但是整个芯片行业应该是consolidate了。

Also Yahoo ... I see many ppl in Yahoo got PE title very very quickly
To me, Yahoo PE more like Staff in other corps;
and Broadcom PE more like Senior Staff in other corps

offer before they can fedex him the official written offer, the other will
give him right away.
B's package is around 15K more than C's. he think he will take B's.
