对于离这个地方5－10分钟的居民来说，1也不是个大问题。

Only north is residential area.
If it could host HP campus, it should be able to host Apple. Plus, It
is so close to Hwy 280 and Lawrence expr, cannot see why traffic would
be a problem.
Anyways, I have a colleague living in 5 minutes drive, he is very happy
with the news.

我觉得住在这个地方上面那个block(birdland)的人可能不爽。其他的住的比较近的会

说来后怕，去年差点在离那只有１００米的地方买了房子。

But should not be much worse than say a few years ago.
The new apple building (proposed) does not host much more than what used
to be there (when HP was full staffed and the adjacent buildings were more
or less occupied).
It will mainly affect the area bounded by wolfe/homestead/lawrence/280,
where currently it's all commercial any way.
Btw, what's not to like to be close to your company?

Here is what you can find from Jobs' plan:
Apple's plan will use not just HP's old campus, it also will use adjacent
lots they bought back in 2006.
HP campus they bought last year is ~ 100 acres, and the 2006 purchase
(north of 280 and south of pruneridge) was 50 acres.
