Location: US (Preferred New Jersey, Cleveland, Bay Area)
Responsibilities:
Work with a talented team of performance engineers who are all working to
optimize WebLogic Server and the dependent Fusion products
Work closely with development team leads and architects throughout the full
development lifecycle to ensure new features are performant and scalable
Participate in and lead product design/product feature discussions with
engineering
Work with product management to establish performance targets
Perform in-depth! analysis of performance issues to identify hotspot and
opportunities for optimization
Design and implement product optimizations to improve performance and
scalability
Specify, design, and develop new benchmark scenarios (including micro
benchmarks, and full system end-to-end benchmarks).
Work with Oracle hardware teams and hardware partners to optimize WebLogic
Server and Fusion products on the latest hardware technologies
Occasional work directly with customers or with the Oracle field
organization to address customer performance problems
Provide technical consulting and mentoring to team members on optimization
techniques, new algorithm design, implementation and conformance to
architecture standards
Requirem! ents:
Significant Java and J2EE development experience.
Experience with performance analysis in a Java/J2EE environment and
associated tools (profilers, load generators, etc).
Experience designing, implementing, and analyzing benchmarks.
Knowledge of system internals and deep technical expertise in one or more
areas of the stack (app server, JVM, operating system, database, server
hardware).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work across
organizations and with all levels of engineering and management.
Innovative, curious, and willing to take initiative.
Able to contribute both as an individual contributor, team member, and as a
team lead as needed.
Leadership skills including direction setting and mentoring. |
