Not necessarily. If she really knew this would be a problem she would not
have signed it and kept this letter which somehow fell into someone else's
hands. She probably just didn't think too much of it. But obviously this
thing is going to cause some serious problems now.
This maid is really a bitch on the other hand.

this morning that she or her husband didn't get a letter from Social
security; now there is a copy of such with her hub's handwriting on it. That
is the problem.

I tend to believe her husband just forgot about it. If they knew the
existence of this letter and apparently her husband handed it to the maid so
she could "check it", they'd not have denied it.
Really, Meg Whitman is not perfect, but the other side is much much worse to
exploit this before election.
