we claim it is our poor English skills that put a glass ceiling on us. Yet
when it comes to engineering, something many of us pride themselves being
better than others, we still fall short, by a mile. You've got to ask why.
One thing we Chinese do beat other races easily -- in terms of percentage,
we have more real estate and loan agents. That's something to cheer for. |

往可以做得很好。另外开创性工作还有一个特点，就是在不知道前景怎么样的时候，凭
着钻研的精神，花很大精力，stay focused，把东西做出来。 |

较动荡的环境里面很难出现有傻劲的人，都给现实淘汰了，等下一代吧，我们的下一代
会好很多。 |

cents. Talkers ALWAYS have excuses NOT to do things. Enough said.
And some harsher words. Born as our children is truly a sad sad beginning
for our kids, as we'll persistently push them to do things they may not
necessarily enjoy so that they can "beat" our neighbors' kids. And that
becomes our biggest accomplishment for life and automatically qualify us a
winner badge.

苦读了20多年，可能都想有点经济基础，所以抛家舍业去冒险搞自己的idea的就少了

to beat Bill or Steve. The goal is to challenge yourself and live a
meaningful life so you won't regret NOT doing things when you are old.
Regardless whether you are successful or not, at least you'll have a great
story to tell. A little bit entrepreneurial spirit is a better legacy than
a meager amount of money.
But again, everyone chooses his/her own lifestyle. There is no right or
wrong as long as it makes him/her happ

'cause it's not your native language, but have you tried hard enough to
get it improved?
Plenty of immigrants succeeded in this country. Why can't you?
I have the answer -- because you don't care. If you care enough, you'll
try hard no matter how difficult it is. You may not succeed, but you'll
try if you do care. Stop the whining and get back to work.

years of working in pure white guys' groups.
I just make a comment here.
Chinese were not made for engineering.
Regardless second generation or third.
If he did not speak chinese, maybe something can be different, but if he
does, then, the same.
confucius killed creativity, and if you were educated in chinese philosophy,
you do not have creativity.

nationalities still look down upon China regardless how many of yellow skins
work in the valley.
unless you guys become one of Bob Peace, there is no way to prove Chinese
can become big player in engineering at all.
But, funny part is some european engineers only have night school degree,
but they are big players in what they are doing.
