If you don't inform BOA, there's a chance BOA will block
your account temporarily so you can not withdraw money
from ATM anywhere.
It's only a 5 minutes call anyway and it won't cost you
anything. Why not just make the call?
I personally have experienced 3 different scenrios:
1. I didn't tell BOA, I can't withdraw money on any ATM
or bank teller. When I came back to the US, BOA left me
many voice mails saying that something suspisous happened

use the debit card, otherwise, the boa may block your account after your
withdraw in china. |

不光BOA， 还有citibank, discover, 我在美国境外出差提款的时候，当时就被block
了，搞得我用手头现金临时支付的。
回到旅馆，按要求给这些bank全部call过去，核实了全部信息，他们说这是系统自动
anti-theft在启动， 你平时定期消费的zip code在系统里有记录，一旦突然距离太远
，而且出差期间买东西都挺狠的。 他们就不让你第一次成功刷卡。
