Sun -- Allegro Ballroom - my favorite spot of the week. It's a beautiful
ballroom located in Emeryville. So if you're visiting and not driving, you
have to Bart/Shuttle it or something. (Lessons Beg. 6pm main room, then
smaller studio 7-7:30?. Int lessons 7:30?-8:30 I don't take the classes so
check out their website if interested.) Dancing around 8:30. Early crowd
mixed Beg to Adv. More advanced dancers trot in around 10:30-11:00. Best mix
of advanced dancers from the | M*****e

Sunday
- Jelly's in the afternoon for Cuban (haven't been as I'm more of a cross-
body person) or
- Allegro Ballroom in Emeryville at night (can be cross-body or Cuban-
dominated depending on the night). Great floor, good dancers, variable music
. Four stars on a good night.
Monday
- Cocomo 'practice night.' Okay DJ, lots of space, low-quality floor. Two
stars.
- Down Low in Berkeley - haven't been, hear it's good

- GlasKat. Variable band (often bad), crowded, g
