我们小时候看见过中国的邻居或者朋友家里有需要speech therapy的孩子吗？我是从来
没见过。因为中国人喜欢逗孩子玩，从婴儿的时候就不停得逗，孩子在互动中逐渐就学
会了说话。现在在美国的父母们，下班晚，回家就是电脑，很少逗小孩，小孩没有
input, 自然就没有output.
教小孩说话，不需要科学方法（有的话当然是好），从前中国农村几亿人，绝大多数是
文盲，没有学过任何科学方法，可是农民的孩子说话个个都好好的。
实在是不会带小孩的人，回国一趟，看看国内是怎么带孩子的，就知道差距了。

child longer to speak. Also, engineers' children sometimes wait longer to
speak. Yet, when they speak, they can speaks long sentence. Some kids are
"perfectionist". They refuse to speak unless they can master some sound.
Some other well-tended children see little needs to speak as their guardians
can already read their minds.
In my opinion, 2 yr old may be too young for parents to worry about kids'
speech skills.
Yet, do go to see pediatrician if you have concerns though. |

this scenario. Have you heard that Eisenstin did not speak until he is
pretty big, and my friend knows a kid who refuse to talk until he's 7
because he cannot pronounce the difference between l and r. And that kid
got into a top university later.

两种语言环境肯定是会让孩子说话晚一些的。

Try to contact regional center for a thorough development evaluation if
there are any other concerns too.
I will never wait and see. Nobody can afford taking risk on your own child.
So far there 's only one Einstein in the world.

many, if not most, pediatricians are so so, and know nothing on some fields
related to child development.
