Responsible for the creation of design concepts that are in harmony with
Kyocera Communications product strategy and take into account such
constraints as market segment, consumer appeal, production cost and
manufacturability. Developing professional expertise, applies company
policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS
· 5-7 years experience in product design (must have mobile phone &
CE experience)
· Ability to develop appropriate designs that match & meet market
segment & customer expectations
· Must be proficient in 3D CAD (Rhino and/or Pro/E)
· Must have comprehensive working knowledge of Photoshop and
Illustrator
REQUIREMENTS
· Excellent verbal and visual communication skills
· Attention to detail and thoroughness of approach
· Ability to execute within tight schedule constraints
· Expertise in creating both 2D and 3D product representations
· Experience in creating 3D CAD models to document design intent
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for communicating design intent through comprehensive
documentation including highly descriptive 2D renderings,geometrically
accurate 3D CAD data, production ready graphic artwork, and detailed
physical mockups
· Leads efforts to place emphasis on product design sensitivity to
form, color, proportion, and other visual and tactile product dimensions
· Provides design input and guidance to make products more
convenient and easier for customers to use,in addition to developing more
attractive designs
· Produce illustrations for future products
· Evaluate product design ideas for feasibility based on factors
such as appearance, function, cost and market characteristics
· Performs other duties as assigned
· PROBLEM SOLVING:
· Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations
or data requires a review of a variety of factors
· Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to
determine appropriate action
· Builds productive working relationships internally and externally
