call the number listed in the quick summary of that FW thread few days after
your application, and talk to a human - they are quite flexible in terms of
approving your application and reallocating your CL from your existing CC
to the new card
now, the tricky part is to hunt for the reward tickets to China
fairly easy to redeem BA points for 4 domestic RT flights, or 3 RT tickets
to Hawaii

no, the idea is to avoid flying BA and connecting in London due to
outrageous fees
I found some flights from SAN to PEK few days ago (AA + JAL, SAN-LAX-NRT-PEK
) that cost ~$220, of course your itinerary has to be very, very flexible
