标 题: 人们为啥没有幸福的婚姻

午餐参加了一个小小讲座。有一张讲社会人口组成的幻灯片让人印象挺深的——
40% - 一等混人[1st degree jerk(ette)]
40% - 二等混人
10% - 三等混人，有反社会型人格倾向 (~anti-social personality)
10% - 成熟的成年人
也就是说对于那个10%的成熟成年人，可能最好还是别结婚。要找到和他们同样水准的另一半的希望太小了。。。
哇哈哈，这个就是爹妈把后代教育成有素养有思想谈吐举止得体的后果~`+_+b~~`

Second-Degree Jerk
First-Degree Jerks “manipulates people and sometimes controls them without
really meaning to.” (35)(操纵他人，有时会无意识地控制他人)
Second-Degree Jerks “are more overt controllers who deliberately jerk
people around because they enjoy the sense of power and control it gives
them.” (35) The Character of a Second-Degree Jerk is quite different from
that of a First-Degree Jerk. The Second-Degree Jerk is:
· Prone to take advantage of people in a thoughtless manner
倾向于不体谅他人并利用他人
· Comfortable asking someone to work overtime without overtime pay
对于要求他人无偿加班感觉自在
· Someone who puts the job before the family
工作置于家庭之前的人
· One who would push the employees beyond realistic limits
迫使员工达到不现实的高度
· One who tries to get all he/she can out of others, regardless!
不计后果地，从他人身上最大化地需索。
· Self-centered
自我为中心
· Not someone who places the team first
不会是一个把集体放在首位的人
· Someone who might feel some guilt about coming down hard on the team
however, this type of behavior will be repeated over and over.
可能会对向团队施压而内疚，但是行为却不断地重复
There is one thing for sure about Second-Degree Jerks. They absolutely love
being in control. Control is a driving force for this type of personality.
The character of this type of personality shows many personality traits. A
Second-Degree Jerk is one that wants and tries to gain total control. They
have no probably in letting others around them know how talented they are.
A Second-Degree Jerk’s mind works in a different way. They can remember
nearly ever offense against them. They often have no problem in getting
even, even if it takes a lifetime to do it. This type of person also has no
problem in spreading gossip and faking concern for other people.
A Second-Degree Jerk will probably never say, “I am sorry.” or “That was
my fault.” This type of jerk is someone who freely places the blame on
someone else. They always have an excuse that points the finger at someone
else. In reality they are cowards.
A Second-Degree Jerk helps those in need only if they are going to get
credit. They are also people who will denounce certain behaviors like
chauvinism, bigotry, racism and prejudices but will find it very easy to
tell off-color or sexist jokes when the right people are listening.
Here are some more characteristics of the Second-Degree Jerk:
· Relatively honest but telling a little white lie does not really hurt
anyone
还算诚实但有时撒点不伤害他人的小谎
· Says he loves his family but really loves the job more
说爱家庭其实人自己更爱工作
· Winning is more important than enjoying a sport or game
赢得比赛/游戏比享受其过程更重要
· Their “opinion” is always the right opinion
人的观点永远是正确的
· Seldom “gives in” on any argument
讨论时罕见屈服
· Is usually self-centered when it come to relationships
在关系里面常常自我为中心
How do you deal with Second-Degree Jerks?
Dr. Meier gives some good advice on dealing with Second-Degree Jerks when he
says,
"Study your life, particularly your schedule of daily activities. Ask
yourself, “When and where have I been jerked around in the past month and
by whom?”
If you have trouble remembering details like this, try keeping a journal for
a month and see if any patterns of jerk abuse emerge. Write down even the
slightest examples of what you might call being “jerked around.” Don’t
worry about being paranoid or touchy. All you’re trying to do with this
kind of inventory is identify habits that you have or certain patterns to
the way your life is going.
If you do find some patterns that include jerk abuse, ask yourself, “How
many of these situations can I avoid?” It’s likely you cant’ avoid all
of them, particularly if you are married to Second-Degree Jerk or work for
one. But you can probably avoid some of them, which means less stress and
hassle for you.” (48) |

个班几十个人，总不可能全都不好。。。
等到出来工作了，因为大家都喜欢non-jerk(ette)，所以10%的non-jerk(ette) mature
adult基本都结婚了。。。

完后老师号召已经工作的大伙儿修正目标，为有个1st degree jerk(ette)的另一半而
努力。。。
