Since suspending registration, we have been working on the best possible
solution to offer the remaining 15,000 entries for the 2013 Bank of America
Chicago Marathon. We have determined that on Tuesday, March 5, registration
will reopen as a lottery. While this is a departure from our traditional
registration process, we believe it is the most fair and efficient way to
address this unique situation.

Interested runners can enter the lottery at chicagomarathon.com starting on
Tuesday, March 5, at 12:01 a.m. CST until Thursday, March 7, at 9 p.m. CST.
From those entries, 15,000 names will be randomly selected to fill the
remaining spots in the 2013 Chicago Marathon. Those individuals will be
notified on Tuesday, March 12, and they will have until 9 p.m. CST on
Thursday, March 14, to complete their official registration.
We realize the impact these registration challenges have had on our
supporters and we are grateful for everyone’s continued understanding.

The registration confirmation link has been updated to accurately reflect
the participants who successfully registered for the 2013 Bank of America
Chicago Marathon. For those who did not receive a confirmation e-mail upon
registering, if your name appears within this searchable database, this
serves as official confirmation of a successful entry.

的名额，好多都被重复用了好几次。
如果以后都改成抽签就惨了

就今年的现在已经报上了，也等于是抽签中的。

幸亏之前抢google nexus4的时候练就了一身本领，否则还真危险呢。
特别是最后交款那一步，等了很久很久很久，好在我忍住了，怕一关白白扣走我钱。

不过其实就算不限时，一般人也没胆去玩100迈倒是，马拉松毕竟是在城市里，
完不成最多打车回家....山地赛，中间就算是瘸了晕了，也得自己爬到下个Aid
station...

美国80年才25000的跑马的，现在是50万，而且还在高速增长。跑ultra可能现在一年也
就是几千吧，但是20年后，谁知道呢。
其实现在跑马的难度远远低于30年前。我相信科技会进步的。新的运动饮料，新的训练
方式等等，也许跑ultra在20年后，就没那么痛苦了，再加上媒体疯狂忽悠，胖大妈/胖
大叔也有胆去试着“玩”成。

其实玩ultra的很多人是去experience, like an adventure,不同的ultra,
风景感觉各不相同...不像跑马，同一个course不停的跑，就为提高个几分钟...
说实话，时间长了，我也有点觉得无趣了....
