(Prehypertension) range. Then I started monitoring blood pressure
before and after runnings this week.
I did three medium long runs on Monday (10mile), Tuesday (9mile) and
today, Thursday (12mile).
I have seen a pattern that each time 2 hours after the medium long
run, systolic (high pressure) drops by 15-20mmHg, diastolic (low
pressure) drops by 5-10mmHg. Only after long runs, my blood
pressure are back to Normal range.
Hope keep running could really help me lower my blood pressure. | g********s 发帖数: 1969 | 2 Besides exercise, try to eat more oats, almonds, salmons, less saturated fat
food. More whole grain food instead of processed food.
Keep doing it you will see it gets down. | d****i 发帖数: 4354 | 3 Maybe your long runs are at a higher intensity? Lower intensity runs do
reduce blood pressure I think.

Only after started running I noticed significant blood pressure drop.
