etc. Last year tonyprince and I did reach the beach relay on a 9-runner team
(while the standard team has 12 members). The main issue I suppose is that
the cost of the race is rather high, and we want to split the cost now so
that the team captain doesn't have to take more than a thousand dollars out
of his pocket. We may try to find sponsorship, if possible, later.

We also need to research the travel and lodging information. It might be
worth it to consider registering late ($120 per person instead of $105).

The timing is good as far as race date goes.
Fly in on Thursday, and fly out on Sunday.
Only two days off work. We will have a great team experience! |

we are in the open race. I think top 10 finish requires an average of 7:20
pace or so. Actually I think this will
be difficult for our team -- we could do it on a flat course, but the course
of this relay is going to be hilly, so
I'd add at least 30 seconds to the pace. If we can average sub 8:00 it'll be
pretty good.

include some tempo and speed work, you will be quite fast by race time.
