part.
First , your bib number is full of 8
then, you are on new york time front page yesterday
last, you were able to catch an earlier flight.
By the way, I did see people check in their personal bags at the UPS truck..

n********r 发帖数: 2228 | 14 Unfortunately it seems that only a very small group of Chinese people like
us care about this. I am disappointed and even shamed by the fact that out
of the over 43K finishers, Chinese only count 45, including China (18), HK (
16), Taiwan (11) and Macao (0), considering Japanese (631) and Korea (81).
Don't even need to look at the Europen countries with thousands runners
finished.

can check if there were any Chinese in NYCM finishers 10 years ago. Hope
this board can help push Chinese marathon running in the States into a new
level. Beijing marathon used to be sponsored by ANA, but now it is in
Chinese company's hand. It's a good sign!

Frankly, I am not that surprised by the statistics of marathon runner from
NY marathron. For Chinese citizens coming to the US, they have to good
students or scholars in China. How many good students and scholars are good
runners? Very few.
I am in San Diego and yesterday one guy asked how to train for marathon by
posting such a question at the mitbbs-San Diego forum. No one answered
except me and I do not know how to train for this grueling exercise,
either. That says somethin |

good
That is a cultural problem with China and Chinese students though. If you go
around universities in America and ask what percentage of the faculties are
runners, you may be surprised how high the numbers. This month's runner's
world has an article about Wolfgang Ketterle, Nobel laureate at MIT, who has
a 2:50 marathon time. In my department, several faculties and many postdocs
and students are marathoners, many more are runners. In top universities in
western countries such as U Cambridge,

d**e 发帖数: 1124 | 27 It is interesting to notice a large portion of the executive folks in my
company are runners.
Yesterday I was chatting with an VP who ran the same DRC half (in my same
age group too) - his time is 2:10 though lol, he says I am super fast, and
my ego felt so good :)
This guy has run 5 full marathons and 10+ half, but he really just likes
enjoying the race and run very slow. A very interesting perspective to me.
