Everybody has their assumptions about the nature of the riots, ranging from
terrorism (pro Han) to uprising (pro Uighur). The evidence, reasons or
grievances may or may not be real, important, or even relevant. In the end,
what can or should a government do to deal with this problem ? Roughly in
the order of decreasing harshness, they are: |
