I just moved from another state to RI, and I want to change my car
registration into RI. have everything current from the other state,
including car insurance with Geico. My question is whether I should change
my insurance state BEFORE I go to DMV or AFTER the DMV registration. I don't
seem to find that info from the DMV website. They just mentioned insurance

不过如果你要保险可以先等保险公司寄到了新的insurance再去注册也行

here is the process I went through -
1. Inform your car insurance company about your residence change so that
they'll send you a new insurance card reflecting ONLY YOUR NEW RESIDENCE and
nothing else;
2. Bring this new insurance card showing your new residence along with other
required documents to the R.I. DMV to change your car registration to RI
and get your RI plates;
3. Within 5 days you should do state inspection and |
