Dear Visa Officer:
Thank you for processing my family members’ visa application. I am XXX, a
postdoctoral researcher working at XXX University. I have been studying and
working in the U.S. for close to 8 years. I am writing to invite my father
XXX and my mother XXX to visit me in the United States.
The main purpose of this visit is a family reunion and for my parents to
attend my wedding ceremony. My wife XXX is currently a Ph.D. student at XXX
University (和我不是一个学校). We met each other in XXX and married each
other on Feb X this year. However, we decided to have a wedding ceremony in
the beautiful Hawaii during my wife’s summer break (scheduled to be on May
13 this year) to share the joy with our parents. And after that, we plan to
show my parents around in the U.S., especially the beautiful west coast. In
this letter I want to briefly summarize our plans.
(1) Family members in China: My family and I have very strong ties in China
so they don’t intend to immigrate. I have two elder sisters who work in
China and see my parents often. My grandmother (my mother’s mother) is well
. In the past 8 years, I went back to China 5 times, in 2008, 2010, 2012,
2013 and 2014, to visit my family members.
(2) Fund: I will pay all the expenses for this trip. I got full graduate
assistantships during Aug 2007-Nov 2012 in XXX University, and an annual
salary of $45,000-47,500 at XXX since Nov 2012. I have saved ~$20,000, which
is plenty for this trip. I am very confident that my parents will not
become public charge of the US government.
(3) My parents’ work and life in China: My parents work on their own farm.
They produce wheat, canola, soybean and peanut. My parents have a house and
also just bought an apartment that is being furnished now. They like playing
poker games with our neighbors in their free time. My parents both have
health insurance.
(4) Plan of this trip: My parents will fly to After the wedding ceremony in
Hawaii, we plan to first fly to Las Vegas, visit the city and the Grand
Canyon (we will drive from Las Vegas). Then we will fly to San Francisco to
visit the Bay area, where I work at. We will visit the city of SF,
California State Route 1 (including Big Sur) and Stanford University. I have
made a map to make it clear to you. After these, they will stay with me in
the Bay area for a couple of days so we can go shopping. This trip will be ~
2 weeks in total. They have to go back to take care of my grandmother, the
new apartment and also harvest the wheat soon.
As many people who work outside their hometown, I strongly hope that my
family members can see me here. I hope you will find the materials we

and I; Confirmations of booking the wedding ceremony.
H. My parents’ materials on family and property.

尽的描述你和你未婚妻的状况。

我是谁，我在美做什么，我邀请我的父母来美国参加我的婚礼并且旅游。
第二段：
我父母除我之外还有两个孩子，在国内他们有自己的生活，他们平时喜欢....
第三段：
我们的婚礼会在夏威夷举行，届时我的父母可以感受.... 除此之外我们还会去xx地.
父母的旅费由我负担.
