forgot the last one.
One question: I need to buy them the air tickets. Is it ok if I buy them one
-way ticket? We have not decided if my parents will apply green card here.
Will they have trouble to get inside US with one-way ticket?

theoretically they could have trouble; but until now I haven't heard any
such case.

发帖数: 15689 | 4 如果LZ已经是美国公民的话，这也没什么问题；大家主要谴责的是父母逾期不归黑下来
的，通过合法途径转换身份或者申请绿卡应该没什么可以指摘的吧。

(1) I have to prepare them all the materials
(2) I have to prepare them all the questions the visa officer may ask
(3) I have to monitor this Reunion and see what is going on regarding B2
visa recently
(4) they have to study all these and prepare for the interview.
(5) they have to be under stress for at lease 2 weeks to prepare the
interview.
(6) they have to take the train and stay shanghai for a night.
We have been through these many times. Is that easy?
My parents have no intention to stay here forever. They have better life
back in China: they have a lot friends there, they have my sisters and
grandchildren, they are well established and well respected in their
community. Why come here and stay in the house all day long? Applying green
card for them is just a way for the convenience.
For people like my parents, they do not need green cards, they need 10 year
multiple entry visa.

可是现在他们至少可以每两年不到用一次中信的免面谈啊，不是非要每次去面谈吧？

在美国办绿卡, 一般都建议到达后至少两个月再申请, 以免不必要的麻烦.
你买单程的票, 万一被海关刁难, 给你一个月, 麻烦事就出来了. 反正你已经决定要
办绿卡了. 往返也贵不了多少.
