Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST) is a national key
university directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education of
P. R. China, and is among the first series of Universities joining the

1.Positions
Outstanding Professors with Leadership Skills (领军型人才) in the areas of
biomedical engineering (1-2 positions) and biophysics (1-2 positions)
Qualification:
●The applicant should be under 55, has a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. from a
prestigious overseas university, and expected to work at HUST full-time.
●Has full professorship or an equivalent position in prestigious
universities or well-known institutions.
●Has leadership skills and can lead a research group to solve key
scientific problems.
●Has a track record in performing top-notch biomedical research and
publishing in biomedical journals with the highest impact.
●Has an interest in both teaching and research.
Salaries and Benefits
Highly competitive salaries, benefits and start-up funds will commensurate
with experience and be negotiated on individual basis.
2.Positions
Young Thousand Talents Program Scholars(青年千人计划) (Multiple Positions)
Qualifications
●A potential applicant shall be under 40
●Has the potential to qualify for the National Young Thousand Talents
Program as judged by peers
●Has the potential to compete for a Cheung Kung Scholar position or to
obtain the Outstanding Young Scientist fund from NSF of China in the future
Salaries and Benefits
●Full professor position with a base salary of 350,000~450,000 RMB per year
commensurate with qualifications and experience
●Research start-up fund (4~8 Million RMB)
●Personal setting allowance (1~1.5 Million RMB)
●Helping to rent a three-bedroom apartment on the campus
●Job arrangement for the spouse in HUST
●Laboratory space (~100 m2)
●Will provide 1-2 Research Assistant positions within one appointment
period
