I also read most of Agatha Christy's but I think hers are not as good as
Sherlock Holmes.. |

I have heard a French novel "A Very Long Engagement" from my classmate, is it
good? I guess I will start reading it after my gone with the wind~~~

IMHO Christie always withholds the most important piece of information till
the very end. So it's very hard to solve the crime while reading.
I recommend G.K. Chesterton (1874-1936)'s "Father Brown" detective series,
which makes light and fun reading.
中文的有高罗佩的《狄公案》。有中国公案小说的风格又没有太多封建糟粕，这个标准
要达到还是挺难的；要是外国人写的就更牛了。

I plan to use my university library. :)
I have too many books in my apartment (though I hardly finish them)and I have
to save the space for my future studies..still a long way to go le.
Plus, I remember one saying in Chinese: Shu Fei Jie Bu Neng Du Ye. I am that
kind of person indeed.

for example, i think i paid $60 for a book of second sex...

My books never over-due because I always renew it. xixi..
I even have the book I borrowed two years ago when I arrived here.
It is about some Chinese dialects but I never read it. Just too lazy to bring
them to the library..
