Hehe, that's one of the reasons I like this book. A novel
written a dozen years ago precisely predicted the possible
situations of today's internet.
Actually I read the sequel "Speaker for the Dead" first.
I was puzzled by the high praises everybody sang for it.
It didn't make sense. Yes, the book was well-written, but
since it won both Hugo and Nebula awards, I had expected
more.
But after I read the "Ender's Game", I understood. Ender's
Game was so great a work, it became a background in most | c**c 发帖数: 2593 | 2 Yes, most of John Grisham's books are full of fun,
hehe. However some of his earlier works, like "The
Firm" may be more famous than "The Rainmaker".
If you like romance stories, try Daniel Steele. But
I'm not expert on her book. Ask some gals around you
for more info. on that. :)
If you like military novels, try Tom Clancy. His
earlier books like "Hunt For Red October" or "Red
Storm Rising" are real thrillers. Most recent books
that list "Tom Clancy" as a co-author do not deserve
this name, thou |
