that US president will say such thing. US people do not realize that they
consume orders of magnitude higher amount of water, electricity, gasoline
and other natural resources than the worldwide average.My previous professor
even thought they are most foot print friendly. Another librarian expressed
the same logic of worrying about Chinese people personal car usage. And you
may hear similar things everyday on TV news. Al |

a professor from my department said this in group email a few years ago
when the gas price was really high. He said the gas price high was because
people in China and India use more gas now. I sent an emailed, CC'ed the
entire department, pointing out that the gas consumption in the US is twice
as much as that of China and India combined. My coworker said: Good job,
you showed his ass to himself.
