Open House - new Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics at Baruch
College
纽约Baruch College，开始开设本科金融数学项目。Baruch College作为纽约市立大学
的一部分，长久以来为华尔街以及纽约各大金融机构输入人才。每年有大量毕业生进入
投资银行、咨询、会计等领域。Baruch College的金融工程硕士项目近年来声名鹊起，
连续几年在全美名列前茅，最新2015年的排名为全美第二（参见：https://www.
quantnet.com/mfe-programs-rankings/）。从今年开始，本项目招收金融数学方向（
BSFM）本科学生，鼓励有志于在量化金融方向发展的高中生报考。原邮件如下：

Dear Alumni and Students,
Beginning this semester, our mathematics department is offering a new
Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics (BSFM), a course of study in
applied mathematics with a focus on the computational tools and techniques
needed to thrive in the financial industry. The Baruch MFE faculty is behind
the new degree, and we are looking forward to educate undergraduate
students and help them career-wise at the same high standards established by
our MFE Program. A detailed description of the BSFM program can be found at

On December 1, 6:30 - 8:30pm, we will be hosting an Open House for the BSFM
degree at Baruch College (55 Lexington Avenue, Room 6-215). Faculty (
including myself and Professors Doug Howard and Andrwe Lesniewski) will be
there to answer questions and provide more color on our goals for the
students in the program.
It would be great if you could pass this information along to anyone you
know who could be interested - parents of high school kids looking for
college options might find this very intriguing and be thankful to you for
passing the information along :)
