I just change job from Canada to New York. My company is close to central
park. Does anyone like to walk with me in central park in lunch time?
Because there is no Chinese in my colleagues. Want to make friends in New

in other industry want to change careers can freely join. There are
different committees you can join activities. Quants know each other among 5

I know the group you are referring to - Bay st. bbs and Jie Chen and Yu Fu
and stuff.
Honestly, trt is has a much smaller finance circle, and mostly no quant
stuff. Those quants are the risk quants. Well avbody call them quants so w/e
.
There are only around 5 good universities in canada and that's why ppl feel
more tied together.
It's a lot harder for you to find connected friends in ny, especially when
you are aiming for chinese group. | h***s

it is a board for some quant-wannabes or quasi-quants to vent their
frustration,
there are exceptions, but statistically this is just the way things are.
