Trader
The Capital Markets Team at Quicken Loans is expanding its mortgage trade
desk. The Trade Desk is responsible for the sale of over $50 Billion in
mortgage loans year to date. We are highly recognized in the market place
and have working relationships with the largest buyers of mortgage loans and
mortgage servicing in the country.
We are currently seeking a candidate for the position of Trader. The Trader
position is a highly visible position responsible for the sale of mortgage
loans and/or servicing. This position will have a specific focus on
managing our portfolio of unsalable loans with a significant portion of time
also spent on Government and Agency trading.
Position Responsibilities:
(What are the essential responsibilities /duties of this position?)
- Executing sales of mortgage loan pools
- Management of our portfolio of unsalable loans, including determine
the best way make the loans eligible for sale.
- Regular reporting on the status of loans in our portfolio
- Exploring new mortgage loan sale opportunities
- Creating and maintaining relationships with buyers of whole loan
and/or mortgage servicing (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Wall Street firms,
large national mortgage banks, depository banks and other financial
institutions)
- Providing trade/sales metrics on all trades
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
Education/Training (Minimum):
- Bachelorâ#8482;s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Experience: (Type and minimum number of years)
- Mortgage Banking/Mortgage Operations experience preferred
- Whole loan trading experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: (ex. able to type 45 wpm; able to lift 20+
lbs.)
- Must be highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Access
- Highly organized and be able to work on multiple tasks concurrently
- Must be able to work in a challenging, fast paced, technical
