Sometimes, financial company hires people frequently to find the right
candidate.
Could you keep the GG offer for a while, like starting next year, or two
months later....
You might try the hedge fund first to see whether it is a good fit,
including company culture,people in your group, the work you are doing, the
experience you gain there will transfer to future work..
