charge of RBS Greenwich’s structuredcredit
group, prompting speculation that
the bank is withdrawing from that business
— which includes CDO underwriting
and related activities. Such talk also
takes into account the August departures
of Matera deputies Rick Caplan and
Jason Golush, who co-headed the CDO
side of his crew. Matera, meanwhile, is
planning to start an independent buyside
shop. He had joined RBS from
