：新宗教的诞生：儒家道坛 （The Birth of a New Religion -- The Development of
the Confucian Congregation in Southeast China )

Abstract: This is an ethnographic study of an emerging religious group ---
Confucian Congregation (儒家道坛) --- in Fujian Province, Southeast China.
By examining the history, beliefs, rituals, organization and development
strategy of Confucian Congregation, this study contributes to the
understanding of the on-going religion revival movement in China.
Dr. Na Chen received his academic degrees from Peking University, University
of Pennsylvania and Temple University. His research interest includes
sociology of religion and intercultural communication. Over the last ten
years Dr. Chen worked in Shanghai and was associate professor at Fudan
University. He is currently visiting at Wabash College, Indiana.
