There has been this long-time debate regarding the Empirically supported
therapy (EST) and the common factor approach. The former emphasizes more of
the treatment process for certain problems. The latter points the common
factors, such as the therapeutical relationship, the healing setting and the
coherent rationale and procedure, are the major contributors that make therapy
work. I am wondering what all of you think of that.
