Because
Because maybe, for the first time,
it felt like I knew what I was doing,
and it was like that every time,
after that.
Because I wanted
to feel my heart open,
and never, ever,
be the Shelob in the dark.
Because it was catharsis
like a river tolling constantly
till I was finally unrobbed,
till I became bronze, all over.
Because once the elephant
