发帖数: 944 | 1 I'm a postdoc at school of medicine in a top university. My background is EE
(earlier) and CS (later), and I don't have medical background. Right now I'
m doing programming for medical physics people, just like a scientific
programmer. I'm not doing any research, but they seem happy with my work
because that's what they need.
I like my current work because I don't want to do research anyway, but I
know postdoc is temporary so I can't stay like this forever. Is there anyway
to switch to a programmer?
另外薄厚的身份也很很影响我找新的工作。因为别人都认为薄厚是做研究为主的，但我
实际的工作内容就是跟医院里的程序员一样的。我面试了几个地方都遇到了这个问题，
还要跟他们解释。我很想内部转成程序员，至于薪水，福利等我都不在乎，甚至做一个
contractor没有benefits都行，只要不是薄厚就行了。 | i*****t

Our department just hired a short-term programmer. He will come next week
and work here for a few months. They will also have me work with him
together to develop a software application. I wish they could switch me to a
programmer.
