今天学院HR突然到我办公室给了我一份新的offer letter让我签名，说前面签过的那份学校provost通不过。新的offer letter有一个重大的改动：
1.title: research assistant professor被改成了assistant research professor.
我不明白这个里面有什么区别。我确定RAP学校能办绿卡，不知道ARP能不能。
2.本来contract对于职位的性质是这样写的:
Appointment Length: Initial appointment is through May 31, 2011, and
renewable 12-month appointments thereafter are based upon the required
