well. A usual caveat: I only read a tiny part of Nozick and libertarianism.
Also, people should not be surprised if there are internal contradictions

Discontents" by Sigmund Freud, in which he explains the dilemma between
human's self interests and the collective interests for the community. It is
not a easy read though, but if you can get through Rawls's "A Theory of
Justice" without falling into sleep, you can handle this :)
BTW, are you doing Political Theory as your major?

| c********y 发帖数: 98 | 4 thanks for the suggestion. I found Rawls pretty engaging and didn't fall asleep.
So maybe I'll try to take a look at Freud. No, political theory is not my field.
Are you a political theorist or economist?

| c*******s 发帖数: 163 | 5 Well, my "A theory to Justice" is still sitting on my bookshelf, as I don't
have time to read a single word, maybe I could find some time this winter

| c********y 发帖数: 98 | 6 Officially I'm in CP and methods. I still need to sort out what I really want to do,
but I'd like to say I'm interested in political economy too. So really nice to
meet you here. Since I'm not particularly good at statistics, I'll probably do
something game-theoretic. At the same time, I don't mind doing Chinese politics, if I can find
a good topic and be able to use game theory on it. And you? Are you working on any specific
project? or, put the question differently, what stage are you in your
