一目丁 --- the first street, or the first block.
WMTT --- let me know if you indeed played there. didn't know you are there
as I was not on mitbbs those several days.
I'd take my paddle with me in case there are places to play. In Tokyo many
times before but somehow never even thought about finding places to play
before.

"5 minutes walk from Shibuya station, there's a 24 hour "ping pong cafe"
with a bar. Players are mostly dressed for a night out or in work clothes.
It's expensive, about $5 for 30 mins, although the staff gave my first
session free. I met a cool guy from Korea who was more serious, and invited
me to the next one on this list.
In Nakano, a few stops from Shinjuku, there's a community center with about
10 tables every Saturday. There is coaching in one room, with free play in
the bigger room. It's VERY good value, about $2 for the whole day. The level
of the players range from elder hard bat specialists to serious all out
topspin attackers. The restaurant there serves good curry.
In Yokohama, there's a country club with about 6 tables. It's expensive,
about $10 for 2 hours with a lower standard of players, although I'm told
there's a good UK player lurking around and a Chinese coach comes once a
month. On the plus side, you get free access to the facilities like sauna,
jacuzzi, bowling, snooker etc.

geared towards families and recreational players. There are also a lot of
clubs. Some have membership requirements, and some let you walk in and play.
Its best to call ahead and see how things work.

Why don't you ask at a ping pong shop where people play? For example, I
sometimes shop at the Shibuya branch of T.T. Kokusai.

Seems like they have a place in Yokohama to play.
You could try going to municipal gyms near you and befriending players. For
example, I've played at
The Minata-ku gym near Tamachi station. Huge number of tables. Lots of
players. No airconditioning though. No individually barriered courts.
I've also played in Meguro-ku's gym too by the river. 50m swimming pool
outside. Airconditioned in summer. But only a few tables. No individually
barriered courts.
Both times I showed up with friends. But I've also just showed up by myself
and played in Komaba's municipal gym. Just go to your local gym and ask what
times of the week the ping pong is on." |

我去了新宿，涩谷，银座，築地，靖国神社，花园神社，本愿寺，东京塔，武士馆，东
京理工大学。
下次如果有人要半日游，我可以把我的线路攻略分享。

可惜时间太紧， 本想仔细看看小日本怎么看待这段历史的。
其实单看名字， 就知道日本一直回避认错啊。
