“I recommend and ask your vote for Ross Brown for the position as At Large
Director.
Both Ross Brown and Jim McQueen have been active players in the Southeast
for decades and have made major contributions to USATT.
Jim was president when Detroit quit running the US Open Team Championship.
He was instrumental in bringing the major team tournament to Baltimore on
Thanksgiving weekend, which has become the NATT Team Championship. He is
currently chairman of the Editorial Advisory Committee.
He was also disciplined for tanking matches to lower his rating. His
suspension was revoked along with the withdrawal of 6 of the quarter-
finalists at the US Nationals because there was nothing in writing that said
it was illegal.
Ross has been active at the national level in several leadership positions.

“Dear fellow table tennis enthusiasts,
I have been involved in organized table tennis for over forty years, playing
in tournaments throughout the Southeast and all over the country. For the
past decade, I have served USATT as a committee chairman. Now I seek to
continue my service to USA Table Tennis as At-Large Director.
My first chairmanship was of the Nominating and Elections Committee. The NEC
conducted elections for USATT. We always did our best to administer
elections fairly and honestly, adhering to our bylaws.
Next, I served as Co-Chairman of the Elite Athletes Committee. This
committee oversaw and managed high performance activities.
2008 brought urgently needed reform of our governance structure. The USOC
sent Mike Cavanaugh to serve as CEO. The Board of Directors took its present
day form. The Elite Athletes Committee morphed into the High Performance
Committee. I was nominated and confirmed by the Board to chair the inaugural
HPC.
This year, term limits prevented me from continuing as Chairman of the High
Performance Committee, so I seek another way to serve.
Many years with the Elite Athletes Committee and the High Performance
Committee have given me a thorough, intimate knowledge of the issues faced
by our top players. I have assisted the High Performance Director as he
prepared the budget and the annual High Performance Plan. I have taken part
in the conference calls as these plans were presented to the USOC. I
enthusiastically supported today’s emphasis on our youth programs. Without
great cadets, there are no great juniors. Without great juniors, there can
be no great adult players. Today as never before, we begin our emphasis at
the pre-cadet level.
But there must always be balance between high performance programs and the
interests of the general membership. An avid tournament player for decades,
I saw the association through the eyes of the average Joe. I shared the
concerns of the rank and file USATT member. My background and experience
enable me to represent the interests of the general USATT membership, as I
support high performance efforts to raise the level of our best players.
I have held certification as an umpire and referee, so I understand the
issues facing our officials.
Most importantly, I have no conflicts of interest. I am not associated with
any particular club, group, or elite player. Freedom from any conflict of
interest leaves me free to formulate my thoughts in an unbiased way, cast my
votes based on independent judgment.
I ask that you vote for me for the position of At-Large Director in the
upcoming general election. I will represent you.

我记得每人发了张纸？要不我肯定懒得再去找Website吧
所以真想拉票，不能太懒，光发个email，效果估计一般
看来很多年前，底特律算美国乒乓的重镇吧，现在居然随着工业一同衰落了
很多很多年前，我底特律的高中同学说，报名比赛，可能碰到瓦尔德内尔，我估计内是
US Open
后来MS还有其它原因，老瓦杯葛了美国开
