Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering at the
University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Our group aims to combine computer
simulations and nonlinear dynamics to understand complex biological rhythms.
The student will investigate advanced bifurcation theory with applications
to biological systems. The ideal candidate should have a MS degree in
Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering Science. The candidate should
have a substantial background in bifurcation theory. Experience in numerical
