In second half of 2015, there will be more Canon DSLRs and lenses coming.
Below is the full list of rumored products to be announced in late 2015 to
early 2016.
1. EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM Lens
This lens will be the next L series full frame lens from Canon, according to
recently rumors, this lens is already in testing by selected photographers,
and ready for production. The release date will be within 6 months.
2. Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
Canon 5D Mark IV is a long awaited Canon’s full frame DSLR camera. The
latest rumors shows that it is already in testing as EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM
lens, and will be officially announced in Q4 of 2015, shipping in Q1 of 2016
. But specs of 5D Mark IV is still not confirmed yet, latest rumors said
that it will have 4K video recording and focus on high ISO performance over
resolution.
3. Canon EOS Rebel SL2/150D
The successor of world’s smallest DSLR “Rebel SL1″ is rumored to be
announced in August/September, 2015. Specs also rumored for 24.2MP APS-C
sensor, 19 point AF, 4.5 fps, 1080/30p video, Hybrid CMOS AF III focus
system, Wi-Fi + NFC.
4. EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens
This lens with image stabilization feature will be another standard zoom L
lens with EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM and EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM. The price
will be more expensive than EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM. Rumors said this lens
is in developing currently.
5. Canon EOS 6D Mark II
The Canon EOS 6D Mark II will be announced when 5D Mark IV starts shipping,
at the Q1 of 2016, according to latest rumors. 6D Mark II will be a bit more
expensive than Canon EOS 6D list price, 6D Mark II will moved to upmarket
to become more professional, features like better AF system, higher
megapixel(24-28MP), NFC, and more. Canon will make it as a “do everything
pretty well” DSLR in the lineup, according to Canon Rumors.
6. EF 15-35mm f/2.8L USM Lens
For most event photographers, a new fast wide-angle zoom lens similar to EF
16-35mm f/2.8L II USM will be a good choice, the new released EF 11-24mm f/
4L USM lens is a great lens, but it is heavy, and most people can’t afford
this lens due to the expensive price. So Canon is rumored to announce a new
EF 15-35mm f/2.8L USM lens (the focus lens may changed according to rumors).
The release date could be in late 2015 to early 2016.
7. Canon EOS-1D X Mark II
The next flagship full frame DSLR camera from Canon, like rumored Nikon D5,
it will have a lot of “industry leading” features: improved dynamic range,
improved ISO performance, 4K video recording, new AF system, increased fps
and some new tech from C300 Mark II. Release date will be in 2016 for Rio
2016 Olympics.
