I fired up some similar photos taken with my own 5Dmk2
and at iso 6400 and above the X-Pro1 slightly trumps my Canon. At iso 25.600
the X-Pro1 produces pictures that are acceptable for small prints, and so-
so for viewing on a 20" computer screen. At this point, even if i clean my
5Dmk2 jpegs in Lightroom, its output is clearly lacking to that of the X-
Pro1. I have speckles, blotches, and every other hallmark of high noise
artifacts.
Trying to clean up the iso 25.600 X-Pro1 images I end up with something
similar to what the 5D Mark II produces at iso 12.800. Truly amazing. The X
-Pro1's at hand in the Romanian launch even were pre-production models, and
the photographers on location reported some minor issues, especially with
the AF. Hopefully Fujifilm is to iron out all bugs in the system until the
real launch of the camera, sometime in Mars.
