I have received the lens and it is exactly as described, nice piece of kit.
So
I just want you to know that the rest of the story is my own and none of
your
fault.
It so happens that I have a very good Pentax K to Canon EOS adapter and when
I
saw the Rokkor for Pentax K and I saw that you had shaved the back element
shroud so that it clears the Pentax K mirror, I thought, oh, cool, I will
get
this lens, install it with my Pentax K adapter to EOS on my 5D and
everything
will be cool. It will clear the mirror of my 5D.
It turns out nothing could be less cool. I seriously chipped the mirror in
my
5D, boy, does that hurt. I could scream.
Anyway, I just thought, and I have no expectations whatsoever, but gee I got
nothing further to lose: maybe you could modify one of your Rokkor for EOS
to
fit the 5D (according to the description for the Rokkor for EOS, you used to
do it), I would pay for the extra work, and you would take my Rokkor for
Pentax K back.
This is all my fault, as said earlier. But, as it stands now, I have an
unusable lens, and a chipped mirror on top of that. Man, not my day.
So let me know, one way or the other and thanks anyway. | e****t
